Principal's Message

Hello Website Visitors!
I'm glad you've made time to visit our school's website and hope you find it informative and helpful.  I'd love your feedback if you would like to help us to make it even better, or to let us know that you've enjoyed it.
If you are local, you know what a wonderful little school we have in Hebron.  If not, I hope that someday you will be able to experience for yourself what makes it so special.  The difference is the people.  Students are clearly committed to being the best kids they can be.  Our older students provide great examples, both in academic learning and with their behavior.  Many serve as older buddies or as student council representatives and help to lead the student body in positive directions.  Our staff is committed to strong academic standards and hold high expectations for student behavior.  The parents and community in general are extremely supportive of their children and the school.
Hebron Station School relies on volunteer support to accomplish some of the many learning opportunities that occur throughout the year. Volunteering can happen in a variety of ways. During the day, volunteers work with individual and small groups of students within the classroom, provide clerical support for teachers, and assist with carrying out special events such as book fairs and field trips. Parents and guardians sometimes offer to work at home doing things such as cutting out materials, organizing a project, or making phone calls. We invite everyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer to stop in the office and speak with either myself or the secretary, Mrs. Colby and we will give you the necessary forms to fill out.  If you have filled out volunteer forms in the past, you are all set to volunteer with us again!
Another way to become involved in the life of HSS is to join the Hebron Station PTO. We are an active group of parents, staff, and community members who sponsor fund raising projects during the year. The money generated from those events goes toward field trips, guest speakers and the purchase of materials. The PTO is a wonderful organization and we encourage you to join us and assist us in enriching the education of all of our students.
The staff and I are pleased to be able to serve the children of Hebron Station School!
