Homework

Homework has a definite place in the educational process.  It is an extension of the learning experiences children have during the instructional day.  Homework is designed to aid the student in achieving classroom and school goals, and should not be used to punish or to keep a student busy.  Homework assignments will vary depending on the grade, subject and teacher.  These are guidelines for homework assignments, K-2: Read a minimum of 15 minutes daily; Grades 1-2: twenty to thirty minutes per night for all subjects combined; Grades 3-4: thirty to sixty minutes per night for all subjects combined.  If you have questions or concerns about an assignment, please call your child’s teacher.
