Food Service Department

Food Service Announcements:

Due to the current state of emergency in Maine and school closures, this letter is to explain the process that the Oxford Hills School District will use to provide meals during this period of school closure. A federal grant will enable the district to provide ongoing breakfast and lunch meals to students during the period of the school closure.

Each Monday and Wednesday each district school will be distributing breakfast and lunch meals.  Monday's each person will receive 2 days of meals and Wednesday's 3 days. The school meal pick up times are as follows:

Harrison  10:30 - 11am
West Paris  11 - 11:30am
Otisfield   11:15 - 11:45am
Paris   11-11:30am
Rowe  11-11:30am
South Campus  11:15 - 11:45am
North Campus   11 - 11:30am
Waterford  11 - 11:30am
Hebron  11 - 11:30am
High School  11:30am-12pm

In addition, district buses will deliver meals to all current bus stops following the elementary bus late start time schedule.  For example, if your child is picked up at 9:30 on a two-hour delay, expect a meal to be delivered at approximately that time. Please note that a student or adult must be at the stop to receive the meal.

These meals are provided at no cost for students ages 0-18 at any of our locations.

Please be aware that some meals may contain peanuts.

UPDATE: 4/7/20

Please be aware that on Wednesday, April 8th, there will be a new procedure in place to compy with social distancing directives.

For those who are receiving food at your home bus stop, please bring a laundry basket, box or other such container when you meet the bus. Please place your container on the ground and a staff member will place your food in the container. This procedure will minimize direct contact when handing out food bags.

For those who pick up meals at a school, there will be a table next to the bus, from which to pick up your meals. If there is a line while waiting, please stay behind the designated lines marked by chalk or cones as the line moves forward.

Our goal is to further protect you and our staff by implementing these additional steps.

Thank you for your cooperation.
