For student and teacher households that do not currently have High Speed Internet access


The Maine Department of Education (MDOE) is using emergency funding to provide more (and more affordable) options for high speed internet services for Maine students and teachers.

Redzone Wireless is one of the companies working with the Maine DOE. They are offering 6 months of high speed internet services for a total of $75 (3 months free, plus 3 months at $25 per month).

This service is only available in selected areas of the following MSAD17 communities: Hebron, Norway, Oxford, Paris, South Paris, West Paris (plus Buckfield and Sumner)

Redzone has been authorized by the Maine DOE to construct and install internet connections in these communities with no connection charges.


The program deadline for Redzone is December 29.

How to Qualify for the Free Internet Program:

  1. Service location is home to a K-12, or enrolled college student
  2. Address is within an Eligible Community
  3. No recent Redzone Wireless Broadband service at location
  4. Completed application received by December 29
  5. Installation of Redzone Broadband receiver is authorized

Redzone will require a 6 month contract - Qualified Applicants will receive the following benefits:

  1. Free Installation & Activation of Broadband Service
  2. Unlimited Data
  3. Free WiFi Router
  4. Free Broadband Receiver
  5. Free Broadband Service for 3 Months
    • Customer will pay $25/mo for the second 3 months

At the end of the 6 month term you can -

  1. Discontinue Service
  2. Continue Service at $39/mo on a month to month basis
