SEVP Information

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program permits an approved foreign student to enroll at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.  To be approved a student must send;

  • Complete an application
  • Complete a 500 word essay on "why I want to attend Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School"
  • Send a deposit of $100 USD
  • Demonstrate financial ability to cover tuition costs ( paycheck stub, bank statement or check prepaying full year  tuition)
  • Send a copy of the passport cover and inside two pages  of passport containing student  personal information 

Once a student has been accepted he or she will received an acceptance letter from the Superintendent of Schools. 

  • The district will complete and submit  the I-20 form that notifies Homeland Security of the student's acceptance
  • The student  must go on line to   and pay a SEVIS Fee by completing a I-901 form with Homeland Security.   Be sure to print a copy of the receipt of payment!  A tutorial for foreign students is accessible at
  •  The student contacts the United States Embassy or Consulate in their home country to make an appointment.  A list of U.S. Embassy addresses may be found here:   
  • Bring the following to the embassy appointment:
    • Reciept of I-901 payment
    • Copy of Superintendent's Acceptance Letter
    • Passport
  • The Embassy or Consulate will issue the F-1 visa to students.
