Multi-Tiered System of Supports

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a system of providing support to students who are not responding to core grade level instruction and/or behavior expectations, and monitoring their progress to see if the intervention is closing the gap. 
MSAD #17’s Vision for RTI is closely aligned to that of the State of Maine.  The process may be understood through this flow chart
The district staff use screening data to identify students who are in need of additional support.
