Banner outside the Harrison School building

Over the past two years, the Harrison Elementary School has worked  to update our common areas to "make school more welcoming" for students, staff, and families, with the support of the Oxford Hills Aspirations Grant program.

The school was awarded funding to purchase materials to update the school entrance, hallways, common areas, and walls-some of the most visible areas of the building. Check out some of our progress so far!

Increased signage around the building for families, guests, and new students:

Inspirational posters-giving color to the hallways and encouraging students to be their best self!

(We would like to thank a family volunteer for putting up all of our awesome new posters!)

Bathroom Mirror Sticker Words of Encouragement:

Plus, we have more updates coming soon to our entrance and lobby area-creating more color and an inviting place to wait or view student work.

If you have other suggestions for how we can make our school more welcoming by updating our common areas, please reach out to r.ripley@msad17.org
