Students work on a maze activity

Sixth grade students recently spent two days at the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond. Even though the first day was cool and a soaking rain, that did not prevent them from being outside and participating in team building activities!

The weather made everyone appreciate the delicious lunch even more! It was great to see students eating together, politely and quietly, and sharing a family style meal together.

The second day was perfect weather! Sunny and warm. This day was filled with low ropes/team building, orienteering (maps and compass work), and survival skills. Each activity challenged students to work together, use new knowledge, and persevere to accomplish the tasks. They were able to show what a collaborative and kind group of students they can be!

Thank you to students who participated, staff and family members who chaperoned the trip-and to the families who helped raise the funding that allowed this trip to happen!
