Harrison is #GoingForTheGold again this year!
WinterKids Winter Games is back again this year with a theme of "My Wild Winter!"
We have a lot planned over the next few weeks.
We started off our Winter Games with an opening ceremony on Wednesday where we had a guest speaker, Ms. Morris, from the Harrison and Waterford Rec department-there are so many great things happing in our community! The other exciting part of our opening ceremony was a school wide welcoming of the Yeti and school wide snow dance moves. Each grade brought to the ceremony a special dance move to share. The Yeti visited each grade level and then we put them all together as a school wide celebration dance to kick off WinterKids Winter Games!
During the week, students have participated in many other outdoor physical activities with their classes, such as: Snowman Snowball Target Practice, Winter Warm-ups, nature hikes, snow painting, etc.
We conclude the week with a Winter Clothing Drive. Thank you to all families who were able to donate clothing for our community to use as we encourage outdoor activities this winter!
