6th Grade

June 21, 2022

Dear Sixth Grade Student,

Hello and welcome to sixth grade! I am excited to be joining the Hebron Hawks staff and to be your sixth grade teacher next year.  I started my teaching career in 2003 in Topsham, ME. I joined the Oxford Hills District in December of 2016 working at Guy E. Rowe elementary as a sixth grade teacher. I love to read, pet my cats,  go for walks and spend time with family and friends.

As you enjoy your summer vacation remember to use some time to read a book, count the stars in the nighttime sky, and observe the nature around you. In other words, keep that brain working as you ride your bike, camp, play a game, or learn a new craft or recipe. You could also practice math through using Freckle or Prodigy. Read, read and read some more; this can be books, magazines, or online articles. Pay attention to what the author is doing to keep you engaged; you will use this for your writing and reading. Be an observer; we will use this in both science and social studies.

This summer I will spend time arranging our classroom to make it a great place for us to learn together. I look forward to working and learning with you during the 2022 - 2023 school year.
