Today we started a SchoolStore program to help our school raise money. An envelope explaining how the program works has been sent home with your student. Parents, please read over the information describing how you can participate. Your student will earn a participation prize when they return the filled-out envelope to school, and they can earn more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. So don't forget to send the filled-out envelope back to school, and thanks for your support.
Picture Day
Congratulations to Rowe band, orchestra and chorus students on a great performance last night.
Just a reminder that children should dress for the weather. Hats, mittens, boots, and snow pants help make outside play more fun. Please put your child’s name inside clothing. We donate a lot of ‘lost’ clothing to Goodwill each year when it is not reunited with its owner. Thank you.
Sub Orientation
Dear Parent/Guardian:
We are excited for the school year ahead and working together to support your child’s success at school!
You are a big part of your child’s life and our school community. We want to stay connected with you and encourage you to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. It’s never too early for our students to Dream Big!
Please help us keep students healthy! Please make sure your child gets enough sleep, eats well and gets plenty of exercise. If you are not certain whether to send your child to school due to illness please call one of our school nurses at 743-5183 option 1 to discuss the situation. You may also visit Guy E. Rowe School’s Facebook page or the schools website for the MSAD #17 COVID Protocols.
We really love seeing your child and all our students at school. We want them here consistently unless your child has symptoms of a contagious illness.
As always, we deeply appreciate your help and partnership. Thank you for everything you do to have your child here at school everyday. Let’s Dream Big and advance your child’s learning!
Sincerely,
Guy E. Rowe Attendance Team
On Tuesday, September 1, Rowe administrators hosted Welcome Back Assemblies for students in grades 1 through 6. The Tiger visited and led students in a cheer. We are safe. We are responsible. We are respectful.

Rowe students and families at most grade levels can expect to receive letters from their teachers early next week. Kindergarten families can expect letters later in the week. Next Friday I plan to publish a summer Back-to-School edition of the Tiger Tracker. -- Mr. Douglas
We are seeing a large number of students with rashes that appear to be a brown tail moth caterpillar reaction. Please see the attached information form the Maine CDC about the rash.

Say Congratulations to Mrs. Pierce students who are the newest members of the BLC Construction and Demolition crew! They've worked hard to earn their certification in constructing and demolishing bigger, longer, more complex words.
This week we celebrate teachers. Each day of the week we will be celebrating our teachers here at Rowe in different ways. Today we would like to thank our sponsors Maine Line Plumbing and Heating as well as Bernadette's Bakery who made us some delicious treats.
