Dear Hebron Families: Power came on at Hebron Station School at approximately 5:30 yesterday evening. Fortunately temperatures at our well insulated school school never dipped below 64 degrees. I hope your power is on or comes on soon and wish you a merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Below is a message from Outdoor Learning Coach, Sarah Timms, who is a former Hebron teacher. She has been working with our staff this September on several projects. Hello! I'm so pleased to be working again this year with teachers and students across the district as the Outdoor Learning Coach. This is my third year in this role, and the most exciting year yet: there is so much happening around the district as we plan, create, and use some really amazing and engaging spaces for students to learn. Teachers are finding creative ways to meet curriculum in all subject areas in outdoor classrooms, and kids are responding in so many positive ways. The attached poster details some of these benefits. Stay tuned for more information on how kids are getting more out of their school day by engaging in activities and meaningful learning experiences outside on school grounds and around the community. Reach out if you'd like to be involved in some way! As we create new spaces, there's always plenty of opportunity for volunteer work! Thanks, Sarah Timm s.timm@msad17.org
