The Boys and Girls Nordic team competed in Day one of the KVAC Championships yesterday. In the Boys race there were 7 teams with the OH boys finishing in 4th. Cameron Sherbinski was 11th followed by Cody Roy 15th, Dean Rudman 27th, Noah Damon-Travers 32nd, Gabriel Dos Reis 37th, Riley Woodworth 39th, Ronan Brown 48th, Jeremiah Lawrence 55th and Blake True 56th. In the Girls race there were 8 teams with the OH Girls finishing 5th. Meredith Harthorne was 16th followed by Mackenzie Van Nest 32nd and Emily Sanborn 39th.

Congratulations to our Vikings Competitive Cheer team. This past weekend they won the Northern Regional Competitive Cheer Championship held at Sanford HS. They will now compete in the State Championship in Augusta on Saturday. Congratulations again and best of luck next weekend.
Congratulations to Senior Football player Zach Louvat. Zach was named the Frank J Gaziano Memorial Lineman award winner as Maine’s High School outstanding Senior Defensive player of the year. Zach is the first player from Oxford Hills to win this prestigious award. Great job and congratulations Zach.

In the girls race the OH girls team was 7th with Meredith Harthorne finishing 6th followed by Mackenzie Van Nest in 16th.

The Oxford Hills Youth Wrestling Program is hosting their annual Super Viking Tournament on Sunday, February 12. They are in need of volunteers to help them run the concession stand, sell 50/50 raffle tickets, and be time keepers for the matches. They will have shifts starting at 7:30 am and the tournament will go all day ending in the early evening.

Here are the results from our Nordic ski race at Quarry Road in Waterville.
In the first race of the season held at Quarry Road in Waterville the boys team finished 8th. Cameron Sherbinski led the way finishing 41st followed by Dean Rudman 44th, Cody Roy 45th, Noah Damon-Travers 77th, Ronan Brown 78th and Gabe Dos Reis 81st. The girls team finished 8th with Meredith Harthorne finishing in 30th place followed by Mackenzie Van Nest 47th and Emily Sanborn 60th.

This year's concert is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. All proceeds from this special event go to the direct benefit of the Christmas for Teens program.
