Taking the PSAT as a sophomore is a great low-pressure way to see your academic strengths, and identify areas to improve. It helps you get familiar with the testing format early, build confidence, and set goals for junior year. Think of it as a practice run that helps you prepare for your future.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, February 10th, during Advisory, there will be an informational presentation on FAFSA and Financial Aid.
If you plan to attend college, trade school, or any post-secondary program next year, completing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps you can take. It can open the door to grants, scholarships, and financial aid that help make your plans affordable.
Even if you’re not sure what your plans are yet, this session will give you helpful information and next steps so you don’t miss out on opportunities.

OHCHS Post-Secondary Fair
Oxford Hills hosted a Post-Secondary Fair in October to help students explore the many options available after high school. The event featured a wide range of opportunities, including colleges, career training programs, military branches, and local workforce partners. Students had the chance to ask questions, gather information, and learn more about pathways that match their interests and goals. This fair was a great reminder that there are many different ways to be successful after graduation, and there truly is an option for every.

SAT INFORMATION for JUNIORS
SAT's will be offered at school on Wednesday, March 25. This testing date is open to juniors only. All juniors have been sent an email with the registration link.
Taking the SAT's during your junior year is an important part of the college planning process. Many colleges use SAT scores for admissions decisions, course placement, scholarships, and to help students understand their academic strengths as they begin building college lists. Taking the test this spring also gives students time to decide whether they’d like to test again in the future.

Recent Alumni Share Post-Graduation Experiences with Seniors
Today, our seniors had the opportunity to hear from recent Oxford Hills graduates who returned to share their experiences after high school. Alumni spoke openly about their post-graduation paths, including college, career training, and entering the workforce.
The presentation offered seniors a realistic and encouraging look at life beyond high school, highlighting both challenges and successes while reinforcing that there are many meaningful pathways after graduation. Students gained valuable insight from peers who were recently in their place.
This visit also highlighted the work of our new Post-Secondary Alumni Committee, which partners with Student Support Services to provide mentorship opportunities for OHCHS seniors as they transition from high school to their postsecondary pursuits.
We are grateful to our alumni for taking the time to give back and support the next graduating class as they prepare for their own postsecondary journeys.
